Someday I'll tell you all about the time I saw the Skunk Ape in a forest in Ocala. You know, the elusive Skunk Ape, Florida’s “Big Foot” that is said to roam the Everglades and beyond. They are real! But today I'll tell you that I haven't seen one on this journey so far. I've been enjoying true southern hospitality in Florida’s interior and have met dozens of interesting and supportive people along the way. The roads have been dangerous, but I've found the traffic here to be more courteous as I've moved further inland. The thick forests have provided a welcome change of pace and shade.  Though I was bone tired after riding over thirty miles straight, I took the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim in a clear, spring-fed lake. You haven't ever felt fully refreshed until doing this. Ah, the perks of living free! We just started our Dollar Campaign last night to benefit Change the World of One's "Tin Can Dreams: Goats for Youth Empowerment" project. One dollar to you is nothing, but to the kids in the orphanage in Ghana that we're helping, a dollar sure goes a long way. We'd really appreciate your help with it. Read more about this worthy project here: https://cwoo.org/tin-can-dreams/ And you can donate on that site or on my Journey for a Cause site - journeyforacause.com. I'm pushing through to Tavares, FL now - see you on the other side!!!
